IMPORTANT UPDATE for Open Water Dive weekend October 28, 29:
Lake Allure

  • There will be a sign by the road with Lake Allure posted so that the entrance is easier to identify.
  • Drive straight up the lane and park in the gravel parking area to the left side. ​

  • Call Blue Crew Divers at (610) 665-3483 and schedule a time to get fitted for wetsuits and to pick up gear: BCD, Reg sets, weights, wet suits, hood, gloves, and (4)cylinders.
  • Parents need to sign a waiver for each day: https://divepeer.com/waiver/ (PDF also attached on below)
  • We will meet at Lake Allure on Saturday at 0800 hours. If everything goes well we will do (3) dives. At this time Instructor Leary is planning only doing two dives each day. 
  • Instructor Leary can help with rides if they can be dropped off at his house and picked up. He will leave his house at 0615 on both days so he can set up for training.

SCUBA Training - below are the costs and dates; INST Leary is a certified SCUBA instructor, so that has helped lower overall costs. 
Note: basic swimming ability may be a determining requirement; officers/instructors will make an assessment for all interested cadets. Parents, do not make any purchases until cadet has been signed off by CO and INST Leary.

  • Academics - $217.00 (eLearning)
  • Confined Water Program - $305.00 (10/13-15/2023)
  • Open Water Program $300.00 (10/28-29/2023 Lake Allure)
  • Lake Fee $25.00 per day -- (cost covered)

Instructor Leary will pay for the eLearning for the 2 best essays on SCUBA in the military.
To sign up for eLearning:
  1. Call Blue Crew Divers at (610) 665-3483.
  2. Tell them they are Sea Cadets.
  3. Once they sign up they will receive an email and it will help them build a profile.

To get the Seven Seas Kit: mask, fins, boots, snorkel, SMD, bag and mask scrub and anti fog
