Uniform Regulations
Below is a list of the uniform regulations that the Regional Director will be looking for during inspection.

ID
- ID should remain in the upper right chest pocket of the NWU Blouse and the CUU Blouse
Cover
- Free of I.P’s (Irish Pennants any type of loose hanging string that may be on your uniform)
- NSCC flash should be centered on the front of the cover
- Bill should not be curved in any irregular form (i.e. folding the edges down making it squared on the ends of the bill)
- Should no be pushed down on the top of the head so the top of the cover bows upwards. (i.e. the top of the cover should sit flat and rest on the top of the head)
Hair – Males
- Hair should not cover the tips of the ears
- Bulk of the hair should not exceed 2 inches in length and/or be kept untidy, unorganized or not clean
Hair – Females
- If hair is longer than than the shoulders, it should be pulled back in a bun
- Bun should not touch the collar of the uniform
Blue T-Shirt
- Blue t-shirt should be a standard NAVY BLUE t-shirt with NO writing on it
- Shirt should be NEATLY tucked into waist of the trousers
Blouse
- Collar should be neatly folded down
- Any collar devices should be clear of IP’s and remain 1(ONE) inch above the tip of the collar
- Blouse should be COMPLETELY CLEAR of I.P’s (i.e. under pocket flaps, in button flaps down the center of the uniform, name tapes, inside of the uniform, all seams)
- Name tapes should be centered and rolled out to the tops ends of the pocket
- NSCC name tapes should be the version without periods (i.e. not U.S.N.S.C.C.)
- Sleeves should be buttoned to the tightest they can comfortably be set at
- The top most button along the front of the blouse should not be buttoned and it should remain spread out as to make the collar wider
Sleeve Rolling
- The US Navy uniform shift times are listed below
- THESE TIMES ARE TO BE ADHERED TO ALL CADETS REGARDLESS OF COMFORTABLY
- Winter uniforms start: The first MONDAY of OCTOBER
- Summer uniforms start: the last MONDAY of APRIL
Belts (SR-PO1)
- Belt should be a black web belt with a silver tip
- Buckle should be a silver POLISHED buckle
- Tip of belt should not poke out past the buckle to where the black cloth from the belt can be seen.
- Tip of belt should not retreat to far to where the hole at the far end of the belt can be seen.
Belts (Chief) – NWU/Khakis
- Belt should be a khaki, cloth belt with GOLDEN tip
- Buckle should be golden and polished
- Tip of belt should not poke out past the buckle to where the black cloth from the belt can be seen
- Tip of belt should not retreat to far to where the hole at the far end of the belt can be seen
Trousers
- Should be COMPLETELY CLEAR of IP’s (i.e. under button flaps, all seams)
- Should be bloused between the 3rd and 4th eyelet of the boot
- Trousers should NOT be tucked into boots
Boots
- Boots should be WELL BLACKENED and/or SHINED
- Laces should be tucked into the top of the boot
