Ready to become a cadet in the William E. Taylor Division?
Joining is a simple multi-step process for youth ages 10 through 18.
Step 1: Verify Eligibility
Citizenship & Language: Must be a U.S. citizen and speak, read, and write English.
Age: Youth ages 10 through 18.
Academics: Must maintain passing grades in school (regular or advanced program).
Character: Must have a clean record with no arrests and demonstrate a commitment to high standards.
Step 2: Attend a Drill & Interview
Contact our leadership to schedule a visit to an upcoming weekend drill. Prospective cadets and parents will meet the unit officers, tour the facility, and complete a billet interview.
Step 3: Complete Documentation & Medical Physical
Submit required documents: U.S. Birth Certificate (or naturalization papers), Social Security card, current shot card, parental consent, and an annual medical physical exam (similar to a high school sports physical).
Step 4: Unit Fees
Unit Start-up Fee: $200 (one-time)
Uniform Deposit: $250 (one-time refundable deposit upon returning issued uniforms)
Annual Dues: $125 (initial enrollment dues & yearly renewal)
